The Oakland Basketball teams have announced that the November 25th home game against Independence HS has been designated “Devin Cairo Night”. All proceeds from the game will be donated to the Devin Cairo Benefit Fund.
The night will feature Nashville Star winner Erika Jo singing her hit single “I Break Things”, as well as the National Anthem before the girl’s game at 6:00 pm. And, rumor has it the Oakland Baseball team will make a unique presentation.
On Saturday, November 16, McAlister’s Deli will donate 50% of all profit from that night to the Devin Cairo Benefit Fund. Oakland baseball players will be on hand to serve customers, bus tables, and refill that famous McAlister’s tea. The event will begin at 5:00 pm and last until 9:00 pm. Come out, eat dinner, and enjoy the community as we join together to help Devin.
Bracelets and t-shirts will be available that night to purchase to show your support for Devin as he fights to “Win the Game.”
Transformations 4 Life, a Boot Camp Fitness program, has scheduled an event to help raise funds for Devin as well as promote a healthy lifestyle. The Boot Camp will take place Saturday, October 19, and offer several sessions for participants. Transformations 4 Life will charge a minimum $10 donation for the Boot Camp, and every dime will go to Devin to help offset costs associated with medical care.
Anyone and everyone is invited to attend, and modifications will be provided to serve all fitness levels. All you need to bring is a water bottle and energy.
To reserve your spot, register at www.Transformations4life.com/Charitybootcamp.aspx. You can pay online or at the camp. The camps are open to all ages.
The Live 4 Tay Foundation has donated $1500 to the Devin Cairo Trust Fund. The foundation was established in memory of Riverdale softball player Taylor Filorimo to…
help local families who live too close to Vanderbilt to qualify for other services with day to day expenses while getting medical treatment at Vanderbilt…she felt so blessed to have your support when her family needed it; now she wants to give back by helping to continue to raise awareness while helping others.
